BIOGRAPHY

Dona Wiley currently works with the New York based dance companies Lydia Johnson Dance, Nomad Contemporary Ballet, Neville Dance Theatre, Neglia Ballet Artists and CelloPointe as part of her career as a freelance dancer. Dona Wiley began her training at the Art of Dance in Connecticut under the direction of Amy Coyle, and went on to study at the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance under James Robey. During her training, Wiley was awarded the silver medal at the Connecticut Classic Ballet Competition in 2011 as well as the Khalda Logan Dance Scholarship in 2010 and 2011. Wiley’s past performance credits also include Connecticut Ballet, Staten Island Ballet, IKADA Dance, Ballet Inc, Felice Lesser Dance Theatre, and the Taormina Teatro Group where she enjoyed a principal dance role in the off-broadway play Tchaikovsky. Notable career highlights include performing the title role in Staten Island Ballet’s production of Carmen, as well as dancing the choreography of George Balanchine, Emery LeCrone, Gabrielle Lamb, and David Fernandez. As dance educator, she currently teaches ballet at the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance and has taught at the Sas School of Dance in Connecticut and the Sunrise Tutorial and Arts academy in Queens, NY. Dona Wiley is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
